to The Farmer's Daughter Rustic Bakery, where a passion for baking meets a love for farm life! Our owner, Lisa, comes from Baudette, MN, where she grew up as the farmer's daughter, immersed in the joys and challenges of beef farming. With a knack for baking honed through years of working in the foods industry and a love for baking for others from home, Lisa's dream was to blend her two passions into something truly special.
After meeting her husband, Dennis, and settling down in New York Mills, Lisa was able to fulfill her dream and blend her love for baking with her farming heritage. Together, her and Dennis tend to their herd of friendly cattle, care for acres of crops, and share their home with farm cats and a couple of pups. Once the opportunity was there, Lisa got to work revitalizing this truly historic building. Thus, The Farmer's Daughter Rustic Bakery was born, bringing back a piece of Mills' heritage that had been missing for years.
Her parents still make the journey to savor her creations, and she proudly passes down the farmer's legacy to her own children and grandchildren, as well as a little baking inspiration. From her family to yours, Lisa invites you to gather and enjoy a taste of farm-fresh goodness and experience the warmth of home at The Farmer's Daughter Rustic Bakery.
